Our main topics are: (1) Financial Update: Albert Chin, our business administrator will share how we are doing financially. He will talk about General Fund giving after the 1st quarter of our fiscal year, as well as the status of the Stewardship Campaign, including how much we still owe on our Facility.

(2) New Position Paper on Racism and New Core Value: As we all know racial tension has been high in our Country for the past year or so. Our Country in many ways is divided and churches have experienced division as well. Back in October, the elders agreed to write a position paper on this topic so everyone could know where we stand. Well, after 3 months of much prayer, study, reflection, and discussion, we are ready to present our position paper on this. We have done our best to make this paper as biblical as possible and believe it is a paper that we can all unify around. You will not want to miss hearing this. While we won’t have time to field questions from the floor at the meeting, we want those of you who feel led, after hearing the paper, to email the elders any questions you may have. In addition, we will also be presenting an additional core value on Unity, which we believe will also tie in well with this paper.

(3) Elder and Treasurer Vote: Keith Wyttenbach has just finished his first three-year term. The elders recommend bringing him back for a second term. As members, we will have the chance to vote on Keith at the Meeting. If you have any questions or concerns about Keith, please contact the elders before the Meeting. In addition, we will vote on Chris Bean, whose term as Treasurer expires. Chris is willing to serve as our Treasurer again, and for that, we are very grateful!

(4) Campus Update: It’s exciting to think that we could be opening our Ballenger Creek Campus sometime this Spring. Come hear all about that! We will meet on the 31st in the Worship Center (please wear a mask). I hope you can join us in person. If, however, you cannot attend the meeting in person, you can watch on a live stream HERE

Moreover, members can also vote virtually on Keith as an elder and/or Chris as Treasurer by texting this number: 301 874 0000. Please keep in mind a virtual vote will only be “counted” if it is received at the time the vote is called for. Thus, we are not receiving votes before the meeting. Once we call for a vote, count the votes, and report on the results, voting will be closed. This is a very important time in the life of our church and the 31st will be a significant day at MVCC, with our meeting, our missions guest speaker, Ajay Pallai that morning, and then fittingly we will close our meeting with a time of prayer, focusing on missions.
